ABOUT THE EVENT
The Australian Beach Run Grand Prix is an exciting and dynamic event format, open to all ages (10 Yrs and over) and all abilities, held in conjunction with the Bayside Run Festival.
The event will bring together runners from surf life saving, athletics and recreational running backgrounds as well as other sports and the general population to see who is fastest on sand across a range of distances and age groups!
ORDER OF EVENTS
This order of events is to be used as a guide only and is subject to change. Entries will close at 7:00am on event morning. All events will be timed finals.
AGE GROUPS/CATEGORIES
-
Age is determined as at 31st December 2026.

Races may be merged with multiple age groups running at once (and then results separated into categories after the race).

Runners will automatically be assigned their age group (based on date of birth).

The TOP 3 runners overall will be awarded OPEN medals.
COURSE/SITE MAP
ELIGIBILITY
Runners do not have to be a member of a surf life saving or athletics club to take part. It is open to all participants. of all abilities.
Surf Life Saving club members are strongly encouraged to wear their club cap and apparel during their run.
CHECK IN, MARSHAL AND START PROCESS

Athletes are to collect their bib from the bib collection area by 7:45am.

Be ready for an event briefing and marshallign to start at 8am at the finish line on the beach.

For 400m, 800m, 1 Mile and relay events, a course briefing will be given by the starter or referee.
PRIZES
-
Runners who place 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their age/gender event will be awarded custom Australian Beach Run Grand Prix medals.
RESULTS

Full results for all participants will be available from https://www.multisportaustralia.com.au/ as soon as they are finalised after the completion of each event.

Reporting a Result Error: If you believe that a result is missing or is incorrect, please report it as soon as possible at the event to Multisport Australia staff. If noticed after the event, you can report it via the “Report An Error” link at the bottom of the relevant results page on https://www.multisportaustralia.com.au
ENTRY FEE
The entry fee is $20 per individual event.
The 2x500m Relay entry fee will cost $40 per team.
